Current SCG Events:
Safe Communities on the Grand, with support from the City of Guelph and the County of Wellington, and in association with local pharmacies, has organized a drive to help eliminate the dangers associated with expired medications.
The Medication Clean-Out campaign encourages safe disposal of expired prescription and over-the-counter medications in order to help save lives as well as the environment.
How to Participate...
1) Empty your pills from their container and place them in a plastic bag.
2) Empty the bag into the disposal containers of participating pharmacies.
3) Remember no liquids or packaging can be accepted!

Recent SCG Events:
Safe Communities on the Grand recently hosted a networking session on the subject of "Understanding How WSIB Works." All in attendance were given an opportunity to have the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board's Assistant Director of Service Delivery, Kitchener, Nancy Kebbel, answer their questions regarding the WSIB.
Also, time was allotted to discuss ways to effectively address local health and safety needs.
