A Message from the Safe Communities on the Grand Board Chair

As I look back on my first year as Board Chair for the Safe Communities on the Grand I am in awe of the many committed volunteers, partners and staff who work together to make our community a safe place to live, learn, work and play.

Our volunteers help implement the many programs and events within the organization. Our partners invest their time and effort to help make the programs successful. Our office staff diligently provide the will and the where with all to get things done. It is encouraging to see so many hands and hearts working together to build a safe community.

I wonder what our health care visit wait times would be if there were no injuries. With the right kind of investment into community safety injuries can decrease significantly. For that to happen, everyone must become his or her own safety leader at work, at home and at play. Safe Communities on the Grand can help.
